I have sent you this picture again because I have realised how it works and I suspect, with all due respect, that you may not have.
Volta demonstrated that Galvani was wrong but he was unable to fully explain why because he was lacking a vital piece of information which was to turn up some 120 – 130 years later.
We know this information today in the form of the equation:
E = mc2
It’s very simple. It doesn’t corrode and it doesn’t explode. It just trickles away ad infinitum (almost), as long as there’s somewhere for it to trickle to.

The first metal amalgams used for dental fillings were patented in the early part of the 19th century, one hundred years or more before the publication of Einstein’s general theories on Relativity.
I think we should be asking atomic physicists whether they are happy to allow people to insert metal amalgams into their children’s teeth.
Of course, we may find that some of them are too busy stargazing to care one way or the other.

P.S. The presence of metal amalgam fillings in teeth is causing unnatural levels of electric current to be conducted through the nerves in people’s heads. I assert this to be the truth and I invite your comments.
